Starting in October and running through May, the PTO sponsors the Bellaire Family Reader Program. This school-wide independent reading program encourages students in grades K-5 to read fiction and nonfiction at their independent reading program. Students need to read or be read to at least 5 days out of 7 each week of each month. Student or parents keep track of their reading on a calendar. Calendars are collected and students who meet the criteria receive a monthly incentive for their efforts.
